Who runs Lead Finder
Lead Finder is run by the person who invited you. For questions, or to have anything deleted, contact them by replying to your invitation email.
What Lead Finder keeps about you
- Your email address, to send you sign-in links and codes.
- Your profile: the services you offer, your smallest budget and hourly rate, where you're based, the languages you work in, and whether you take ongoing roles.
- What you do with projects: saved, not for me and why, bid sent, client replied, won or lost, with your notes and deal values. While a project is open this is linked to it. When the project leaves Lead Finder, at most 24 hours after Lead Finder first fetched it, only the status, the date, your note and the deal value stay, with nothing that identifies the project.
- Daily counts of how you use the inbox: how many projects were shown, opened, saved, set aside (and why) and bid on, in all and for top picks and worth checking. Numbers only, never which projects. Whoever runs Lead Finder looks at them, added up and per person, to see how the beta is going.
- The daily email: whether you want it, and when the last one went out. It holds only counts (how many new projects fit you), never the projects.
- Your answers about the ranking, when you tell Lead Finder it missed a project: where the project should have been and why, with the version of the ranking. Never the project itself.
What it doesn't do
No advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and nothing sold or shared for marketing. Your browser keeps only your sign-in session and, for a day at most, which tier each project had when you first saw it (by Lead Finder's own number for it, nothing from the project), so that saving or bidding on it later counts under that tier. Every page, font and script comes from this site. Your browser talks only to Supabase, below. When you check a project Lead Finder missed, Lead Finder reads that one project from Freelancer.com for you and forgets it once it has answered.
Where it's kept
- Supabase stores your account and data, and handles signing in.
- Cloudflare serves these pages.
- An email service sends the sign-in emails and the daily email, so it sees your address.
Projects come from Freelancer.com's API. Lead Finder sends Freelancer.com nothing about you. When you open a project you're on Freelancer.com, and its own privacy policy applies there.
During the beta
The person running Lead Finder looks at profiles, statuses and daily counts to improve the ranking, and may ask you about them. Your notes are read only if you ask for help with something.
How long it's kept
Projects: at most 24 hours. Everything about you: until you delete it or your account. Supabase keeps its own sign-in logs for a short time under its policy.
Your choices
You can change your profile and your history entries at any time, and turn the daily email off in your profile or with the link in any of them. Delete my account, at the bottom of the inbox, deletes your account and everything listed above straight away. You can also ask by email.
